FunFest will be Tuesday, January 6th
from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the Parish Hall. We'll have a simple
supper and celebrate Epiphany (the 12th day of Christmas and the day
the Wise Men arrived at the stable in Bethlehem to worship the baby
Jesus).
We'll be focusing on stars and
crowns... the star that led the wise men to the child Jesus and the
crowns that were symbols of an earthly authority that knelt down
before the Christ Child. We'll have a 3 Kings Cake, complete
with hidden beans. The person who gets a piece of cake with
the hidden bean inside is King or Queen of the party! Please
mark your calendars and join the party!
Our first FunFest was December 1st.
After a delicious turkey soup we made Advent wreaths.

Note: Fun-Fest is a new monthly event
that grew from one of the "WOW!" ideas (what should we be doing that would
make Jesus say "WOW!" if he visited St. John's?) submitted during the 2008
Stewardship Program.
